![]() ![]() They are literally just labeled "Track 1", "Track 2", etc. They couldn't even be bothered to title the tracks properly. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Nothing transports you out of an immersive story faster than a computer-voiced public service announcement about the technological ineptitude of the publisher jammed in between the chapters.Īnd, speaking of chapters, for my $35 they couldn't be bothered to split the audio up by chapter (it's broken into arbitrary "tracks"). They also felt the need to explain this with an audio track inserted right in the middle of the book. ![]() Apparently Audible takes the liberty of separating the audiobook into multiple parts to "help it download faster" (a ridiculous justification for something that was released in 2015). Just no.īut that pales in comparison to how obnoxious the plugs in the middle of this book are. Do they really think I just payed a premium price to hear that the book I know and love is "brought to me by Audible"? No. ADS! It's hard to describe the degree to which I hate whoever decided that adding a plug for Audible at the beginning of the book was a good idea. I cannot believe that this, the official audiobook on iTunes/iBooks sanctioned by Rowling herself, that costs almost $35, has ads. Horrified at the thoughtlessness with which this audiobook was published. That being said, this audio product is a disgrace to the format. I was thrilled when I found out I could finally get a proper digital copy. I've listened to the cassette version more times than I can count. The only thing better than reading it is listening to the stunning performance by Jim Dale. He is the leader of the Roundup Gang, which is the group of western television show toys with whom Woody hung out in the 1950s.Wonderful audiobook ruined by ads and lazinessįirst and foremost: I absolutely love this book. For example, in Andy's house you must track down five of Bo-Peep's lost sheep. In each level, a character will give you, as Buzz, the task of finding five objects. To help him ward off various robots, bosses (such as the Evil Emperor Zurg), and other enemies, he is equipped with a spin attack maneuver and a laser weapon, which can be fired in regular or targeting mode. He can push certain items and perform a Super Foot Stomp to operate machinery or catapult himself into the air. In this game you control Buzz Lightyear through 15 levels of 3D platforming adventure. Now you can relive the excitement (and much of the plot) of the feature film at home on your PlayStation with Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue. It is up to Buzz to remind Woody of his toy family and of the love of their best friend and playmate, Andy. After Buzz and the gang brave the dangers of Andy's neighborhood, the thieving collector's toy store and the toy collector's high rise, they are dismayed to learn that Woody has been convinced by his new pals, the Roundup Gang, to stay with them and live eternally as collectibles in a Japanese museum. ![]() Potato Head, Rex the dinosaur, and Slinky Dog to aid him in his mission.
